Bern
From 12 years old Dennis Leedom dreamed of being a ski bum. This was his sole ambition. At that time he didn't know that, when his friend mentioned to him about the ski bums in Italy wearing helmets, it would turn into more. He hadn't imaged that the future would shape into something different after he sold his first Boeri Sport kids helmets on a card table at ski lifts all over the state he lived in. Or that nearly 10 years later he would be designing his own helmets under the brand name 'Leedom Helmets'. He certainly wasn't aware than far from his ski bum ambition, his destiny was with Adam Godwin and Josh Walker, under the new name Bern Helmets. Olympic snowboarder Seth Westcott saw that future when he won the 2006 Winter Olympics in the prototype 'Baker' helmet and put them firmly on the map as the iconic brand we know today.
