After retiring from competing professionally in Ironman challenges and duathlons; Olivier Bernhard, alongside running enthusiasts David Alleman and Caspar Coppetti, wanted to create a shoe that had the perfect running sensation and in the process revolutionised the world of running for everyone.
Established formerly in 2010, On Running’s first prototype was enthusiastically received by their test runners – stating that it felt as though they were running on clouds. Bernhard’s desire for a cushioned landing with a firm, springy launch on his shoe’s had been achieved. And so, the ‘Cloud’ shoe was born.
With their quirky, avant-garde designs and bright colours, On Running’s footwear was a stomping success.
